ALL physical YCC gatherings, Sunday services, mid-week activities and outreach continue to be suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
The only exception is Foodbank that is continuing to run with a very different operating model with strict social distancing measures in place.
Please continue to act responsibly, stay at home, and follow the government and health advice on social distancing and self-isolation.
Just because we are not able to meet as gathered church doesn’t mean we stop being church – we’re just running as “scattered church” for an extended time. We are working hard to keep people connected and this page is a good sign-post to what is going on. If you are not already signed-up to receive our weekly Notices (and other church emails) then you can sign-up here: https://bit.ly/yccsignup
10:30am Morning Worship
We are gathering on a Sunday morning on-line via Sunday Worship on YouTube:
- If you have a SmartTV you can find us via the YouTube app on your TV. Full instructions are here.
- For those without internet you can even listen by phoning-in (though we don’t recommend this unless you have no alternative, you will be charged for the call). If you know someone who might appreciate this then please let Carol know by emailing email@example.com. If you listened in last week the instructions are identical for this week and every week too.
We are still sharing communion on the first Sunday of every month so remember to bring your own bread and juice/wine that week.
We are also still providing an opportunity for prayer and fellowship after the service via zoom – so if you’d like to catch-up with some familiar faces or receive some prayer then here’s the link:
Youth @ YCC Online
All young people aged 13+ are invited to join us on Instagram (youth.at.ycc). Every Sunday evening we're posting a video from one of the leaders, unpacking the fruits of the Spirit. See you there!
Kairos Online - 9:30
9:30 am via YouTube. An opportunity for our children to get together for different activities and Bible stories.
Wednesday @ 1 Prayer
1:00 pm via zoom for just 30 minutes. Join us to pray for one another and seek God's heart for the current situation. You can also dial-in to this via phone. Contact the office for details
Socially Distant Praise
8:00 pm Corporate praise online via zoom. Join in by sharing prayers and scriptures as well as singing along in your lounge (with your microphone muted!) as we are led in worship by our musicians.
We are also running other special events like on-line quizzes at various times – to keep up to date follow our Events page.
Small groups are continuing via video-conferencing. Do please try to keep in contact with others you know by phone, text or via their preferred social media or on-line technology means.
If you need to self-isolate (either because of symptoms or to protect yourself due to existing medical conditions) OR if you can volunteer support in terms of collecting and delivering groceries and medicines to those stuck in please let Carol know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the church office number (01904) 551733. Carol is acting as our central coordination point for all this practical support.
If you are feeling low, vulnerable or isolated please do not be embarrassed about getting in touch. Feel free to get in touch with Simon Rennie or someone else you would normally contact for pastoral support.
We have a wonderful, heavenly Father who is able to redeem the most seemingly desperate situations for his good and his glory. We look to him and trust him.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
